A Reading World founder Amy Azzarito spent eight years working for the New York Public Library before turning her attention to writing. She has written about design trends and the history of decorative arts for a variety of publications, including Brit & Co, Food52, Refinery29, Design*Sponge and Apartment Therapy. She is presently at work on a book titled Domestic Bliss: The History of Luxury at Home to be published by National Geographic Press in Spring 2018. She first traveled to Uganda in February 2015, and the first shipment of books from A Reading World arrived in Kampala eight months later.
